🦎 Toska is a tribute to multiple Native American lizard characters:
Monongya Kachina (Hopi in Arizona),
Ishi’s Lizard (Yahi/Yana in southern California),
Blue Lizard (Cahuilla in southern California).
Toska means sky-blue in the Assiniboine language.
🐍 Quetzalcoatl is an Aztec deity who sometimes takes the form of a feathered snake, adorned in the colors of the resplendent quetzal bird.
👨🏽🌾 Maheo is the Cheyenne creator god. He’s referred to in English as Great Spirit or Sky Chief.
🧟 Wendigo is the infamous Algonquian bogeyman. It’s described in folklore as a winter spirit that infects humans, turning them into cannibals.
